Founded in 1885 by Édouard Langlois and Jeanne Chateau in Saint-Hilaire-Saint-Florent, Maison Langlois has been a benchmark specialist in Loire sparkling production for well over a century. The house’s dedication to quality attracted the attention of the legendary Champagne house Maison Bollinger, which acquired the estate in 1973 and invested heavily in both its historic cellars and organic viticulture. Tending to over 60 hectares of sustainably and organically farmed vineyards around Saumur, Langlois treats Crémant with the exact rigor, parcel selection, and extended lees-aging usually reserved for fine Champagne. Grown on chalky clay soils in the heart of Saumur, this traditional-method sparkling rosé is crafted predominantly from Cabernet Franc with a touch of Pinot Noir. Chateau de Villeneuve 2025 Saumur Blanc (Saumur, Loire Valley, France)
Perched on the prime limestone terraces of Souzay-Champigny overlooking the Loire River, Château de Villeneuve holds a historical legacy of winemaking that dates back to 1577. Today, the property is stewarded with meticulous organic and biodynamic practices, focusing entirely on preserving the natural vitality of its old-vine sites. Les Carrières de Mézy is an estate deeply rooted in the distinctive, flint-heavy soils of Pouilly-sur-Loire. Located in Sury-en-Vaux, Domaine Michel Vattan is a boutique Sancerre property built on precision, sustainable vineyard management, and respect for site. Under the current guidance of winemaker Pascal Joulin, who trained alongside Michel Vattan before taking over stewardship, the estate works across Sancerre's diverse trio of soils: flint, terrestrial limestone, and Kimmeridgian marl. The estate’s Pinot Noir plantings receive the exact same exacting attention as their whites, resulting in rosés of exceptional structure and food-friendliness. Crafted entirely from Pinot Noir, this direct-press rosé is designed to marry the red fruit typicity of the grape with the electric freshness of Sancerre white wines. Sourced from the commune of Sury-en-Vaux, it exhibits a bright, pale salmon hue and vibrant aromas of wild strawberry, white peach, and fresh lime peel. Domaine de Pallus 2024 Messanges Rouge Chinon (Chinon, Loire Valley, France)
Domaine de Pallus has been held by the Sourdais family since 1883, situated in Cravant-les-Coteaux—widely recognized as the ultimate heartbeat of high-quality Chinon. The estate reached world-class status when Bertrand Sourdais returned home after making a major international name for himself at Dominio de Atauta in Spain. Applying ultra-rigorous, single-vineyard parcellary farming, biodynamic principles, and gentle extraction techniques to his family's prime tuffeau-limestone slopes, Sourdais transformed the estate into one of the Loire's elite red wine producers. His inclusion in the sampler gives lovers of Loire reds access to modern Chinon crafted by one of the most talented vignerons in France.

Named after the historic regional term for Cabernet Franc, "Messanges" represents the pure, unoaked, and ultra-vibrant expression of Chinon. Fermented and aged strictly in concrete tanks to preserve its vivid fruit, it opens with bright aromas of fresh red cherry, raspberry, violets, and a hint of crushed peppercorn. The palate is light-footed yet wonderfully concentrated, bursting with crunchy red and black fruits, fine chalky tannins, and an invigorating finish.
