The 2023 Cayuse En Cerise Syrah is a biodynamically farmed, cool-climate expression from the famed “Rocks District” of Walla Walla Valley, crafted by Christophe Baron. This bottling is celebrated for its unmistakably savory character—think black olive, smoked meat, crushed stone, iron-rich earth, and vibrant red fruit—often finished with a small co-fermented touch of Viognier for added lift and aromatics.

As a recent release, official scores for 2023 may still be forthcoming. Historically, however, En Cerise consistently lands in the 93–96+ point range from top critics including Wine Spectator and Vinous. Extremely limited and in high demand, it’s a wine collectors tend to secure quickly upon release.
