PRE-SALE - Cayuse Cailloux Syrah ’23 (750ml)

The 2023 Cayuse “Cailloux” Syrah is another standout from Christophe Baron’s iconic Rocks District estate in Walla Walla Valley. Sourced from the Cailloux Vineyard, planted in 1997 among its distinctive basalt stones, this vintage continues the estate’s reputation for savory, terroir-driven Syrah.

Aged 18 months in French oak (15–20% new) with a small co-fermented portion of Viognier, the wine shows Cayuse’s signature smoky, earthy profile. Aromas and flavors include lavender, iron, cured meat, seaweed, black fruit, raspberry, blue fruit, and licorice, layered with a distinctive savory depth. Alcohol comes in at a balanced 13.8%.

Drinking beautifully now with 1–2 hours of decanting, and built to age gracefully through 2034–2035.
