WINEMAKER NOTES
Mostly Cabernet, the 2006 vintage also contains small amounts of Merlot (14%) and Cab Franc (1%), and is sourced from vineyards high up on Mt. Veeder. The 2006 has Mayacamas' signature wild raspberry and blackberry fruit on the nose and palate, with a firmer mountain character. Because it was aged in large oak casks for a year and a half, and another year in 60-gallon barrels, it shows wonderful integration without overwhelming wood character. A classic Mayacamas Cab.
