Kikusui Funaguchi Brewery Nama The Black Can 200ml

Kikusui's Funaguchi Black stands apart from its Funaguchi siblings through a unique twist: instead of standard brewer's alcohol, this honjozo is finished with single-distilled shochu made from Kikusui's own sake lees, lending a genuinely aromatic, almost fragrant lift. The nose is clean rice and mineral; the palate is more compact and elegant than the bolder Gold or Red cans, with a gentle sweetness that stays secondary to a crisp, dry finish. Unpasteurized and undiluted at 19% ABV — serve ice-cold, on the rocks, or frozen slush-style.

Kikusui created the first unpasturized (nama) Sake can in 1972 and have been the leader of the segment ever since. Canned nama sake is a wonderful thing. The 200ml (one cup) cans allow for easy, light weight transport and they don't need to be constantly refrigerated like glass bottled namas.
