Chateau D'Esclans 2024 "Rock Angel" Rose

$ 3499

Tasting Notes

Château d’Esclans 2024 Rock Angel Rosé is built primarily from Grenache and Rolle (Vermentino) sourced from the estate’s high‑elevation, free‑draining vineyards in Provence, where the cooler microclimate preserves acidity and aromatic lift. The wine opens with a refined, mineral‑driven nose of wild strawberry, white peach, pink grapefruit, and crushed rose petals, layered with subtle notes of wet stone and delicate spice. On the palate it is sleek, dry, and textural, showing greater depth and structure than Whispering Angel while remaining vibrantly fresh. Flavors of red currant, citrus zest, and ripe peach glide across a palate marked by tension and salinity, finishing long, crisp, and elegantly smoky from partial oak fermentation. Its combination of richness and precision makes it a versatile food wine, pairing beautifully with grilled shrimp, seared scallops, sushi, Niçoise salad, Provençal herb chicken, Mediterranean mezze, and dishes featuring citrus, fennel, or fresh herbs.
