The Cabernet Sauvignon produced in Mendocino is excellent. It comes from high-elevation sites, and Pinot Noir often overshadows it. This one has savory aromas, dried plum, cassis, blackberry, notes of chicory, and toasty vanilla on the nose; the flavors on the palate are spicy mushrooms, espresso coffee, and clove with supple tannins on the finish.
