Gorghi Tondi 2023 "Dume" Frappato

Bright and expressive Sicilian red that captures the coastal freshness of its southwestern terroir. Made entirely from organically grown Frappato grapes, it pours a light ruby with violet hues and opens with a vibrant bouquet of wild strawberry, pomegranate, rose petal, and blood orange, underscored by hints of Mediterranean herbs and crushed seashell salinity. On the palate, it’s light-bodied and juicy, with crisp acidity and barely-there tannins that frame flavors of cranberry, sour cherry, and dusty earth. A subtle touch of spice and a salt-and-pepper finish add complexity, while the wine’s clean, dry character makes it immensely drinkable.
