Sinegal 2023 "Details" Cabernet Sauvignon

David Sinegal purchased the historic Inglewood Vineyard (originally planted in 1881, Wolf Family Vineyards 1997-2013) and spent $20 million renovating the winery and vineyards, re-establishing the historic property as one of the gems of St Helena area.

The Details label brings David's passion for excellence to a more affordable price point by working with growers in Sonoma to get great fruit, reasonably priced fruit into the hands of is talented winemaker Ryan Knoth (who trained under winemaking icons David Abreu and Michelle Rolland).

The 2023 Details Cabernet Sauvignon opens with that glossy, midnight hue and a welcoming rush of ripe black cherry, plum, and cassis. There’s a polished Sonoma warmth to the aromatics—cedar, sweet tobacco, and a touch of baking spice—wrapped around a core of fresh, lifted fruit. The palate is generous without tipping into heaviness, layering blackberry, dark raspberry, and cocoa over supple tannins that feel deliberately shaped for early pleasure. A clean mineral line and bright acidity keep the wine moving, finishing with black fruit, spice, and a faint savory echo. It offers the flavor architecture and polish of the estate wines while leaning into Sonoma’s softer edges, giving you a taste of the pedigree without the wait those higher‑tier Cabernets often demand.
