Hell' Celt Sparkling Rose Classic

Some of you will love the somewhat creepy skull imagery on the label, and some of you will probably hate it. We hope that those of you who fall outside the "love it' category will give this fantastic, delicious and affordably sparkling Rose from France's Loire Valley a chance.

There is, of course, a story behind the label. Chateau de la Galissonniere was commissioned to create special wines for the French heavy metal music festival known as Hellfest. One of Europe's largest music festivals, and being European, even metalheads appreciate a great glass of wine while they are head banging in the heat of the summer. The wines and the label were such a hit that the winery decided to keep producing the wines and release them to other markets. Love or hate the labels, this small Loire Valley Chateau produces some fantastic wines.

The Hell' Celt Classic Sparkling Rose exhibits a brilliant, delicate salmon-pink color punctuated by fine, pinpoint bubbles which suggest the wines fresh, raspberry and cassis fragrance. On the palate it is very dry and crisp, with plump, succulent red fruit flavors offset by subtle earthy notes and a lovely generosity on the clean, persistent finish.
