Medusa Baga/Touriga Nacional (Portugal) - The Medusa Red from Portugal’s Bairrada region is a bold yet approachable blend of Baga and Touriga Nacional, showcasing the depth and character of these native grapes. Deep ruby in color, it opens with intense aromas of ripe red fruits—think cherry and plum—layered with subtle toasted notes from oak aging. Trentadue "OPR" Old Patch Red (California) - Not wanting to neglect our fans of fuller bodied reds in this mixed case we finish off with Trentadue's OPR a bold, fruit-forward California blend that channels old-vine character with modern drinkability. Composed primarily of Zinfandel (55%), with Petite Sirah (27%), Carignane (17%), and a touch of Sangiovese, it pours a deep ruby and opens with intense aromas of black cherry, blueberry, and cherry cola, followed by hints of ripe plum, vanilla, cocoa, and toasted oak. On the palate, it’s juicy and plush, with soft tannins and a youthful brightness that makes it both approachable and satisfying. Aged for 11 months in a mix of new and neutral French and American oak, it finishes long and fruity with subtle notes of dark licorice and chocolate.
