Chateau Saint Brice 2020 Saint-Emilion
Winemaker Notes
Owned by the Myshkin family. Mainly planted with Merlot, it also includes a good proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, perfectly suited to this gravelly soil. Here, the grapes are harvested at high ripeness, and undergo pre-fermentation cold maceration to extract the full range of aromas. On the nose and palate, the expression is intense and complex: blackberry and blackcurrant, spices and notes of undergrowth, hints of tobacco and mocha. The body is silky, with a nice fatness that adds volume.
Critical Acclaim
James Suckling 92pts
A red with an attractive core of fruit and medium, ripe tannins. Blackberry, walnut and spice character. Chewy and flavorful
