Wine Spectator rated it 93 points, emphasizing its balance, richness, and ability to evolve gracefully in bottle. Tasting Notes

The 2010 Nicolás opens with aromas of blackcurrant, plum, cedar, graphite, tobacco leaf, and dried flowers, unfolding into a full‑bodied palate marked by ripe blackberry, cassis, cocoa, and savory spice. The blend is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon with a significant portion of Malbec, combining Cabernet’s structure and aromatic complexity with Malbec’s plush texture and floral lift. Its richness and balance make it an excellent partner for grilled ribeye, lamb chops, braised short ribs, roasted duck, mushroom ragù, and aged cheeses, where the wine’s tannic backbone and acidity complement both savory and umami‑driven dishes.
